The requirements in terms of technical documentation needed for preparation of either a certificate or a technical document vary according to the type of production.

In the majority of cases a valid “hygienic certificate” will be required and a “fire certificate” is needed if the products fall within a specified range.

• Fire Certificate: “Fire safety” federal law of 2001 has indicated a range of products that require a compulsory fire certificate. These can be broadly classified into following categories: fire safety equipment, substances and materials, heat generating machinery, electrical goods, constructions and tools used in building processes. • Hygienic Certificate: Issued by the Ministry of Health the “Sanitary expertise of production” law requires a specified range of products to undertake health safety testing. This law affects a very large scope of goods and it is likely that a very large proportion of production in the construction industry will fall in this range, meaning that the majority of suppliers do need to get this certificate.
